As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Client Service and Implementation team of Corporate Investement Banking, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. This role will drive the architecture for the organization that is responsible for the technology that supports customer product onboarding, servicing of customers and implementations for Corporate Investment banking team. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions and lines of businesses.
Job responsibilities

  • Represents a product family of technical governance bodies
  • Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices
  • Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks
  • Sets direction for how existing systems should be combined and should evolve to deliver on our strategic vision of having one cohesive ecosystem to serve all customer servicing, onboarding and implementations across all of CIB.
  • Influences leaders across the organization on architectural decisions
  • Collaborates across the firm and vendor partners ecosystem to continually learn, innovate and adopt new data technologies and design philosophies to solve current and upcoming pain points.
  • Leads evaluation sessions to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
