Senior Lead, Internal and Executive Communications

As our Senior Lead of Internal and Executive Communications, you’ll play an integral role in amplifying our strategy internally and defining the culture at Dropbox. Your work will uplift our team of storytellers and communicators responsible for partnering with our executives to motivate and inform their teams and crafting the way Dropbox interacts with its employees to shape their experience. You’ll create connection for Dropboxers to our leaders, to each other, and to our mission and vision.

In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Internal Communications and Culture, partner with cross-functional teams, and lead a high-performing team to develop, execute, and own our integrated internal communications strategy and shape the employee experience.

Leading Internal Communications

• Deliver an integrated global internal communications strategy that builds employees’ understanding of the business and their role in future growth, while maintaining a sense of culture and connection
• Lead a team of internal communications professionals, continuing to scale impact across the company while supporting each individual’s goals and growth
• Work closely with our executive team, including our Chief Communications Officer, Chief People Officer, and Head of Corporate Strategy and Operations

Amplifying Strategy

• Motivate Dropboxers to drive our transformation
• Create meaningful, engaging content for key moments, such as All Hands, AMAs, Leadership Offsites, Manager Summits, product launches, Hack Weeks, and more
• Regularly assist on company milestones, including quarterly earnings, regular business updates to the company, and any M&A activity

Amplifying Culture

• Help usher Dropboxers into the next evolution of our culture
• Drive engagement across companywide channels, such as Slack campaigns, email cascades, toolkits, and the company intranet, and find new, exciting ways to inform and inspire Dropboxers
• Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as DEI, Virtual First, Leadership and Organizational Development, Finance, and Collaboration Technology, and act as their trusted advisor

• 10+ years of experience in internal (employee/HR) or external (PR) communications. Background in tech or comms agency a plus
• Previous management experience required (2+ directs)
• Strong understanding of messaging strategy, storytelling and narrative development within an organization
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative without extensive direction, all while checking their ego at the door
• Strong leadership skills with a high tolerance for stress and a proven ability to persist in challenging situations
• Highly motivated and driven with a strong sense of purpose and hunger to solve complex problems
• Extraordinary attention to detail and excellent writing and communications skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and distill information, even amidst ambiguity
