What You'll Do
You're an expert on cellular and Wi-Fi networks, so you'll lead the development and enhancement of Wi-Fi offload and associated platforms. You'll also help to define and deliver a multi-year roadmap for Cox's Wi-Fi offload approach and associated reporting analytics products. Other responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing and interpreting competitive products, consumer trends and industry developments.
  • Creating long-term platform evolution plans to maintain parity and competitiveness in technologies such as WiFi, 5G, CBRS, MVNO and data offload
  • Driving business cases that incorporate new and emerging use cases.
  • Establishing new or managing and driving existing vendor and partner relationships.
  • Representing Cox as the resident product subject matter expert on Wi-Fi and Cellular services and platforms.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners to develop internal points of view related to Wi-Fi regulatory areas.
  • Developing points of view, executive presentations and white papers on emerging products and industry trends.
  • Collaborating with industry bodies such as Wireless Broadband Alliance, OnGo Alliance, CaleLabs and other working groups in developing company, technology or industry points of views.
  • Exhibiting leadership working in matrix or cross-functional team interactions, business insights and product strategy
  • Planning the product roadmap for Wi-Fi and wireless connectivity.
  • Applying a strong understanding of product development processes.
  • Developing business cases and budget justifications and managing capital budgets of related product development initiatives.
  • Maintaining a strong technical knowledge of Wi-Fi and broadband technologies and cellular wireless technologies.
  • Developing partnerships between the product management team and the supporting functional/boundary partner organizations.
  • Ensuring alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions.
  • Supporting business development and strategic partnerships for Wi-Fi connectivity and management products, assessing potential partnerships, negotiating related deals and managing relationships.
  • Analyzing performance metrics of device connectivity and management products.
  • Working closely with the internet, video, and voice product teams.

Who You Are
You're no stranger to leading product ideation or strategic planning. In step with emerging technologies? Check. At your core, you're all about focusing on customer experience. You also have the following qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years of experience in a related field,
    • OR a master's degree and 6 years of experience,
    • OR a Ph.D. and 3 years of experience in a related field,
    • OR 20 years of experience in a related field.
  • A strong background and experience in broadband connection technologies.
  • A strong background and experience in cellular wireless technologies (LTE/5G RAN and core is a plus).
  • 5-7 years of product management or new product development experience.
  • The ability to influence in a matrix environment with excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills.
  • The ability to present to executive leadership in a compelling and influential manner.
  • The ability to analyze and interpret data and synthesize recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong organizational and office management techniques.
  • Industry expert in Wi-Fi connectivity and session management space.
  • Deep understanding of competitive products and consumer trends in the Wi-Fi space.
  • Strong business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve results.
