Senior Learning Content Development & Strategy Manager
We are looking for an initiative-taking doer to help grow our Enablement program. In this visible, multi-faceted role you will partner closely with the Director of Client Services (CS) Enablement to build and amplify learning material and supporting programs - for now and for later!
You embrace working autonomously and ambitiously, taking the lead when it comes to owning and driving outcomes. You enjoy building content and programs from scratch and crowd-sourcing to fill in gaps. You like digging into opportunities with discipline and completing projects in a highly technical, fluid environment. You help make change happen with an organized approach and dead-line driven mindset because you love to have an impact.
The audience for whom you will create deliverables and work closely with include teams of technical experts who fully support and advise customers on how to use and implement our technology.
Learning Content Development and Framework Architect
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership from Client Services, Product, and Engineering to identify needs and take action
- Develop new hire onboarding and ongoing educational content to support a strong foundation and advanced knowledge of Tools, Processes and Products
- Use your endless curiosity to become a Subject Matter Expert who thrives in creating content that helps others succeed throughout their Fastly journey
- Ideate, curate and iterate to create the most impactful learning frameworks for short and long term goals
- Demonstrate thought-leadership with proactive recommendations and creative solutions
- Create in multiple ways: Google Slides, Confluence pages, Workbooks, Playbooks, Job Aids, Camtasia
- Align with Sr. LMS/elearning Manager for projects and deployments
Project Management
- Own and influence cross-functional relationships to align and lead initiatives
- Proactively assess gaps and incorporate feedback loops via surveys and focus groups for the purpose of process improvement
- Research, evaluate and implement solutions that address needs, delivered in a way that resonates with our audience
- Analyze data to problem solve and ensure measurable results
Content Management
- Apply your attention to detail toward the organization of our documentation, tools, business processes, and learning content
- Assist in auditing of current reference materials for Client Services teams
- Partner with stakeholders to address existing content gaps and make recommendations to further build a resource library
Delivery
- Facilitate and moderate virtual calls and trainings as needed
- Assist in the scripting and recording of content when it makes sense
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to deliver trainings that supplement Enablement efforts
Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in L&D, Project Management, Technical Training
- 10+ years of related experience in a senior level capacity, optimally in a high-tech environment
- Proficient translation of learning needs into engaging user-centered experiences
- Highly detail and results oriented
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities and projects
- Effectively manage work during times of ambiguity and change in an agile environment
- Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills
- Reliable and able to work under time constraints to meet deadlines
- Ability to clearly communicate across levels of the organization in writing, verbally and interpersonally
Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements
Preferred locations for this position are:
- Denver, CO
- Culver City, CA
Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $132,060 to $194,210.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
