If that's the case, Johnson Controls Inc (JCI) has an amazing opportunity for you!
Your challenge, if you wish to accept it, will be to develop innovative learning strategy and solutions that support our 17,000+ global manufacturing team members. This work will span a variety of audiences, geographical locations and levels of leadership. We are looking for a learning leader who can drive training to business outcomes and strategy. This isn't technical or functional training; we need your business process and strategic thinking in order to enable effective operations, both in and above plants. A strong candidate will have excellent partner management skills, experience in dynamic environments and a portfolio of highly effective learning solutions.
What you would do:
- Partner with manufacturing stakeholders to support employees in and above the plant to create learning on behaviors and processes that drive the operational excellence of our manufacturing operations.

- Learn on a day to day basis about how Johnson Controls products and technology support our customers' business objectives and are propelling the industry forward.
How you would do it:
- Design intuitive and creative learning or performance support tools to support business and critical processes both in and above the branch.
- Own the end to end learning strategy to include needs analysis, iterative design and development cycles, deployment, measurement, and maintenance of your solutions.
- Use your expertise in Organizational Change Management to influence multiple personas and drive attitude change.
- Collaborate with change and communication team members to ensure your learning solutions positively drive required upskilling and behavior change.
- Apply what you know about adult learning and share what you learn along the way with the wider Learning & Development team.
- Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business.
- Work very closely with team members who will develop your designs. Need your ability to flex on time, as we have work across time zones.
- Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into well-rounded solutions that enhance the impact to the business.
- Create and support a strong team environment.
- Participate in organizational development exercises including group facilitation, team building, and systems analysis.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning design, training, and sales enablement.
- Understand technology to effectively design your learning and performance support tools.
What we look for:
- Technical- JCI's portfolio of products is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized. Don't worry, we'll help you with that!
- Educated - Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or related field. A Master's degree in related field is preferred.
- Creative - Can look at a project and find alternatives.
