Senior Learning Scientist

The People Science & Analytics team at Roblox supports our People, Places, and Systems group in optimizing the talent lifecycle, encompassing talent identification, data-driven competency development, and the scientific management of learning, development, and well-being throughout their tenure with our company.

Our team works to provide many insights and solutions for Roblox, from developing industry-leading hiring assessments and conducting job analysis to performing both quantitative and qualitative workforce research, and architecting data analytics systems and tools.

Reporting to the Senior Director, People Science and Analytics, you will join an outstanding group of people, learning, and data scientists who are passionate about collecting and using qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions and to craft and support Roblox's approach to leadership, people development, and organizational design and culture.

This role is based onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.

You Will:

• Work with a team of scientists, software engineers, game designers, and data scientists to implement science-based and data-driven solutions across the entire range of recruiting and human resources challenges.
• Contribute to the design and development of assessments and intelligent training systems using cognitive psychology and learning theory principles.
• Partner with subject matter experts (SME) and XFN leads across the organization to develop programs to develop employee skills.
• Develop research and data collection plans for evaluating the success of a solution.

You Have:

• A PhD in Learning Science, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in qualitative methods.
• Experience developing tools to evaluate individuals' cognitive skills and content knowledge.
• Curiosity and self-drive to continuously learn new techniques and tools to improve the organization.
• The ability to be flexible and quickly adapt in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
