Salary Range:

$141,600.00 - $236,000.00

Location: Houston, TX

Hybrid 3 times a week in Memorial offices.

The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of complex commercial contracts to support AVEVA's business, primarily the Americas (AMS) region.

There will also be opportunities to work on global complex commercial contracts.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel Indirect Legal, the Senior Legal Counsel will:

• Be a trusted advisor who is service oriented, has an eagerness to tackle a wide range of legal and business issues and the ability to balance legal risks with business objectives and successfully get deals closed in a timely manner and, all with a positive attitude.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and indirect customers to enable the conclusion of commercial / business related agreements, review contract documents and provide counsel regarding compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
• Be required to work closely with Sales and the Partner Program management to establish a strong business partner relationship, collaborate with counterparts in EMEA and APAC and the wider Legal team in addition to other business teams, both in the region and globally.
• Support other legal projects and initiatives including, but not limited to, data protection, insurance, compliance and labour relations in the region and globally.

This role comes with dedicated responsibility for managing AVEVA's Global Partner Program on a group level from a legal & contractual angle.

He/she may also be asked to cover the full spectrum of commercial legal and contractual activities on the direct side.

Requirements - You will have:

• A Lawyer Degree
• 5+ years of experience working with Sales teams.
• 5+ years working with international customers and partners.
• Solid experience working with Re-sale agreements, Agency and Distribution.
• Proficiency in Spanish.

It'd be a PLUS if you have:

• Proficiency in additional languages.
• Experience working with other cultures.
• Experience supporting global activities.
