Senior Legal Counsel

Ibotta is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This person will be responsible for handling a full range of legal matters that arise in connection with the development, offering, and maintenance of consumer promotion-related products and services. 

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

• Draft and negotiate complex legal agreements, including commercial contracts, services agreements, marketing agreements, vendor agreements, and data license agreements

• Address and resolve a wide range of employee-related legal matters

• Manage litigation

• Lead the legal corporate governance program 

• Review and advise on corporate policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to establish and manage streamlined legal processes throughout the company.

• Offer legal support in the development of risk-management procedures and address potential compliance issues proactively.

What we are looking for:

• 8-12 years of legal experience, with a combination of law firm, in-house, and/or regulatory legal experience preferred

• A J.D. degree from an accredited law school and the ability to practice law in Colorado or another state

• A strong work ethic coupled with the ability to consistently maintain high service, quality, efficiency, and ethical standards

• Ability to develop and implement new or enhanced processes for increasing the efficiency of regular responsibilities

• Collaborative nature with strong partnering skills across all levels of employees and external clients
