In this role, you, and your soon-to-be-team of one Associate Legal Counsel, will work cross-functionally on a variety of business matters, ranging from negotiating with the biggest companies in the world to managing local employment matters. This is a remote and/or hybrid role, open to all locations excluding Denver. #LI-Remote
What you will be doing:

• You will become the team lead for our US Legal Team, currently one Associate Legal Counsel.
• You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of legal agreements, with a focus on B2B subscription agreements.
• You will advise other business units, including US management, on a broad range of matters, including commercial, employment, and strategic matters.
• You will collaborate with our EMEA team to introduce tools, processes, training, and policies to support a scalable local and global legal department within the growing company.
• You will collaborate in global and cross-functional strategic initiatives set by our global top management.
• You will collaborate with your EMEA counterpart on eye-level to manage risks across the business.

Above and beyond:

• You, ideally, have experience in working cross-culturally and with diverse, global teams.
• You, ideally, have experience as a team lead.
• You, ideally, have experience in the market research industry.
• You, ideally, have experience managing outside counsel.

Who you are:

• You have 8+ years of relevant experience, with a strong preference on in-house work within a growing B2B SaaS business.
• You earned your JD from an accredited law school and are admitted to the state bar, preferably in New York.
• You are passionate about closing deals and negotiating complex agreements with the biggest companies in the world, together with our sales department.
• You have the ability to take ownership of your work and manage projects independently or together with your team.
• You have a winning presence and excellent consulting and communication and analytic skills.
• You are reliably covering the EST time zone if working remotely.
• You know your way around consumer data privacy laws in the U.S.
