The Senior Legal Operations & Records Manager is a vital part of Alacrity’s Legal Team supporting activity related to contract management, subpoenas, litigation & disputes, investigations (internal and regulatory), audits, management of Legal databases & systems, and other related duties.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, collaborative yet independent, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail. The Senior Legal Operations & Records Manager works in tandem with in-house lawyers, outside counsel, and business leaders across the Alacrity enterprise, participating in all phases of the contract lifecycle, litigation and investigations process, maintaining complete and organized indexed files, conducting document searches and research, preparing summaries and reports, and managing the implementation and continuous improvement of Legal databases and systems, including the contract management platform. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone with good judgment, who takes significant initiative, and possesses the ability to handle an array of confidential matters. - Collaborate with Legal, business teams, and IT to facilitate the Company’s contract management technology, including contract tracking, research and reporting, record-keeping, support integration with other Company platforms, and related activities;
- Partner with internal and outside counsel and oversee various facets of litigation, disputes and investigations, including but not limited to implementing custodian legal holds, facilitating document and electronic data collection, assisting with informal/formal discovery, performing legal and factual research, conducting custodian interviews and deposition/hearing/trial support, and may attend hearings or trial proceedings;
- Assist with the development and management of enterprise-wide e-discovery processes and policies, including management of the internal e-discovery platform, vendor management, and liaising with IT;
- Prepare drafts of legal hold notices and distribute to custodians as directed by counsel, including tracking and required follow-ups;
- Manage the Company’s end-to-end subpoena and record request processing, management, and compliance;
- Be the primary point of contact for external counsel on all aspects of a matter not specifically requiring in-house attorney attention, such as small claims matters; and
- Special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position;
- At least 8 years of related experience, including at least 5 years of experience working in a corporate in-house legal department;
- Must have excellent analytical and proof-reading skills, good judgment and an ability to maintain privacy, privilege, and confidentiality;
- Must be very organized, reliable, accurate and proactive;
- Experience with streamlining legal processes and administering contract and legal matter management systems;
- Experience with implementing and managing a contract management system;
- Good judgment, high integrity, and strong communication skills;
- Comfortable operating under pressure/with sense of urgency;
- Experience reviewing, researching, and responding to subpoenas and document requests;
- Ability to foster professional, cooperative and supportive relationships with peers, superiors and clients;
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of constituents, including various internal clients at different levels within the organization, outside counsel, colleagues within Legal, and a diverse variety of other contacts; and
- Expertise with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Document Management Systems.

Starting Salary Range:
- $80,000 to $105,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility
