About ProbablyMonsters' Battle Barge Team

THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Level Designer with experience in designing, building, and populating game levels. This role requires an individual who can collaborate cross-discipline to combine art, systems, and AI into engaging play spaces that realize the vision of the game. An ideal candidate is someone who strives to understand the audience, create great content, and has a growth mindset within themselves and the team.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Someone with experience building levels in Unreal or another commercial-level editor.
- Curious and motivated to learn and grow as a level designer.
- A collaborative individual who enjoys building with, and on, the work of others toward a shared vision.
- Interested in evolving and updating the day-to-day processes, tools, and workflows.
- A wearer of many hats, taking on new roles and types of work when needed.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Work with pre-existing designs to build out and populate levels across gameplay and visuals, from blockout to decoration and lighting, and through to polish.
- Create and update documentation on levels, processes, systems, and Gameplay.
- Take direction from Leads and Directors and incorporate it into your work.
- Give and receive feedback from peers across the team.
- Propose and develop new gameplay through pitches and demonstrative prototypes.
- Explore and grow as a designer, taking learnings and integrating them into your work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience designing a game title, or equivalent experience on personal work.
- Experience ideating, designing, and building levels in Unreal Engine 4/5.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Some scripting proficiency (for example, Unreal Blueprints, C#, etc.).
- Experience working within a team or larger organization.

Compensation:
- This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
- The full salary range for this position is $117,300 - $176,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.
- In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
