Senior Liferay Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Liferay Developer to join our dynamic team in designing and developing robust solutions using the Liferay platform.
This individual will play a key role in implementing and customizing enterprise-level portal solutions to drive business growth and improve user engagement.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of enterprise portal solutions based on Liferay
• Integrate Liferay with various external systems to enhance functionality
• Develop personalized Liferay solutions tailored to specific client needs
• Customize and maintain Liferay sites to improve user experience and performance
• Analyze client requirements to design effective portal structures
• Collaborate with the development team in creating and implementing new features
• Conduct code reviews and optimize performance for Liferay applications
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in Liferay environments
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards
• Mentor junior developers and guide them in Liferay development practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of Java/J2EE application design and development experience
• Proficiency in Hibernate, Spring, and MVC design patterns
• Competency in Web Services and System Integrations including Microservices
• Expertise in T-SQL and SQL server integration
• Knowledge of JSP and JavaScript programming
• Flexibility to use Azure or AWS for deploying scalable solutions
• Capability to implement customizations using OSGI framework and Spring MVC
• Background in designing, configuring, and administering Liferay sites
• Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

Nice to have

• Experience delivering and configuring extranet/customer portals using Liferay
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka for message-oriented middleware solutions
• Understanding of portlet development, custom themes, and WCM features in Liferay
