Senior Linux & AWS Systems Engineer

Description:

Spatial Front provides IT solutions to federal, state, and local governments, and the private sector. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support one of our DOT contracts. The successful candidate will have experience with following: AWS migration and implementation experience, implementing and managing Ansible management tool, source control tools and practices, preferably with Terraform, Git and Github and configuring and supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment environments (Bitbucket, JIRA and Jenkins). This position is temporarily work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Network Account Management
• Deliver tasks independently
• Network/Systems design and assessment
• Switching, Firewall, VPN/setup maintenance
• Linux Administration
• Server and Cloud Migrations
• Willingness to work on high level/complex issues as well as break fix work when needed
• Effectively articulating repair/resolution options to potentially non-technical users
• Work well on a team, engaging in knowledge sharing and backup support for other engineers

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Technical, Engineering or Management field.
• Linux proficiency experience 7+ years
• 5+ years Windows Systems Administration
• 2+ years operating on premises and managing to AWS infrastructure
• Ansible experience
• Manage Appian servers
• Microsoft Office 365 (Mail, SharePoint & Azure)
• Virtualization (Hyper-V/VMWare) experience
• Networking Experience including but not limited to VLAN setup/maintenance, firewall configuration and VPN Site-to-Site networking
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred but not required a Linux certification
• IIS and SQL experience a plus

• In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a US Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems. You must have lived in the US for the past three (3) years.

Other Information:

• The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $125,000 annually
• This is a full-time position. Please no agencies, third parties, or corp-to-corp.
