Job Duties and Responsibilities
Boost Mobile is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Linux Engineer to lead the management and optimization of our Linux-based environments. In this pivotal role, you will implement advanced automation through Ansible within both private and AWS cloud-native settings. This position combines extensive system administration expertise with operational leadership, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration of Linux systems and AWS resources, ensuring performance, security, and compliance
  • Design and manage application deployment using Ansible, driving automation and efficiency
  • Create and implement complex Ansible playbooks for application deployment across environments
  • Leverage expertise in AWS services and Kubernetes to optimize infrastructure provisioning and scaling
  • Oversee CI/CD pipeline integration with GitLab to automate workflows and improve deployment
  • Implement monitoring, security automation, and backup strategies to ensure system reliability and data integrity


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; a minimum of five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least five years of experience managing Linux platforms in private cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Linux systems in cloud environments and container orchestration
  • Advanced proficiency in Ansible, including YAML for playbook creation and configuration management
  • Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters, networking, ingress controllers, and persistent storage
  • Relevant certification such as LPIC, RHCSA, or Ansible certification is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation, mentorship, and team collaboration
  • Proficient in Python, Perl, or BASH for automating tasks and enhancing operational processes


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $150,125.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
