Senior LTL Supply Chain Engineer

C.H. Robinson seeks an experienced Senior LTL Supply Chain Engineer to join our team. In this role you will process and provide complex and strategic modal pricing and analytical responses as they relate to new or existing business opportunities. You will work in conjunction with the network of offices, corporate shared services, and/or customers to coordinate the best competitive solution to meet the needs of the customers. You will be responsible for consulting on pricing strategy (enterprise and account specific) and will serve as the pricing owner for each opportunity. This role will also champion and facilitate the development of enterprise level or supply chain strategies for CHR and its customers. Responsibilities:
- Execute pricing processes and agreements with our branch network to meet commercial resource needs and maintain pricing data in our bid ecosystem
- Manage and respond to complex pricing requests for both new and existing customers within specific modes, products, or trade lanes, adhering to assigned deadlines
- Coordinate timelines to ensure timely bid submissions, collaborating with various offices/partners to leverage pricing strengths and address weaknesses compared to competitors
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of factors influencing pricing strategies, contributing to and utilizing pricing tools' development
- Ensure compliance with operational policies before pricing business and analyze historical and forecasted data to identify cost improvement opportunities
- Provide expert solutions and recommendations for customer issues independently, managing project teams, defining scopes, tracking activities, and measuring results
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, gathering information, defining project scopes, and delivering updates to audiences
- Seek and apply coaching to enhance leadership skills, contributing to the continuous improvement of departmental strategies for team development and capability enhancement
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years of experience in operations, analytics, and/or pricing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Fluency with Data: Strong analytical skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI and SQL.
- Experience using data visualization and analytical tools
- Industry Knowledge: A foundational level of understanding of LTL and pricing dynamics.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders with strong interpersonal, facilitation and consulting skills.
- Able to identify trends, patterns and outliers in supply chain data and form insights, recommendations, and ability to coach others in seeing and telling the story
- Experience using data visualization and analytical tools
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Proven ability to multi-task several projects/initiatives and deliver results against hard deadlines.
- Process Improvement Mindset: Continuously thinking of ways to advance current state of our products and think in long-term ways of scaling solutions.
- Be a Trusted Partner: Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, partner and deliver at the most senior levels in the organization (and client's organizations).
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions and relationships
