- Review the code of the rest of the team to ensure it meets company performance and readability standards.
- Mentor machine learning engineers, helping them fully develop their ML and coding skills.
- Cultivate innovation by researching and proposing new projects for the team as a whole.
- Take full ownership of a project and delegate tasks to junior ML engineers.
- Give feedback to machine learning engineers around opportunities and challenges.
- Devote time to learning new and relevant tools, processes, and technologies, and then teach those new learnings to the rest of the team.
- Demonstrate mastery in Python, including Pandas, NumPy, at least one data visualization library (e.g. Matplotlib, Seaborn), and at least one ML library (e.g. Scikit-Learn, Keras, PyTorch).
- Partner with the manager and PM to discuss and decide upon implementation and prioritization.
- Demonstrate mastery of core computer science concepts, including common algorithms and data structures.
- Understand core ML concepts with the ability to build an end-to-end ML pipeline.
- Validate hypotheses, reveal data inconsistencies, and uncover hidden insights through exploratory data analysis.
- Deeply explore the business domain of a project, including how it may present limitations on a model's design.
- Anticipate the challenges associated with ML models in production and design efficient, elegant solutions to these (e.g. retraining strategies, monitoring alerts).
- Deploy ML models on AWS providing APls to access them (main stack: Docker, Flask). *Remote work/telecommuting permissible.
Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 18 months of experience in a job offered or related position in the Computer Science or Computer Engineering fields.
Must have experience and/or coursework with the following skill sets:
- Machine Learning models implementation and evaluation
- Deep Learning models implementation and evaluation
- Python
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- At least one data visualization library like Matplotlib or Seaborn
- At least one Machine Learning library like Scikit-Learn, Keras, or PyTorch
