We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help us build advanced technology in the company.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This role gives you an opportunity to build cutting-edge technology and a platform from the ground up. In this role you will be expected to:

  • Research, design, and implement advanced Machine Learning algorithms
  • Understand PHCโ€™s business objectives and develop appropriate models to achieve them, along with metrics to track accuracy and progress
  • Understand the lifecycle of ML model development and contribute to all parts of this lifecycle, especially productionization and operational elements in a containerized environment
  • Perform statistical analysis to understand the incoming datasets to ensure data quality
  • Define and implement the data preprocessing, enrichment, transformation, and feature engineering processes for a given dataset and problem
  • Understand model tuning to enhance the accuracy and applicability of the model output
  • Keep abreast of developments in the field and implement the relevant advancements in PHCโ€™s ML pipelines
  • Collaborate with other engineers and data scientists to define and scope out future projects
  • Work with all levels within the company including executive leadership to bring novel ML solutions to PHCโ€™s end users

In addition, this role will be responsible for other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Required qualifications

    • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
    • 5+ years professional experience as an ML Engineer
    • Proven hands-on experience in designing, building, and productionizing ML models
    • Proven ability to work with large datasets to understand data quality and implement methods for data cleansing
    • Strong understanding and experience in data modeling, algorithms, and data transformation techniques
    • In depth knowledge and experience in at least one of the following development languages: Python, Go, C++, Java, and/or Scala
    • Experience working in a cloud environment
    • Strong communication skills with a high emphasis on the ability to explain technology in business terms and to express opinions clearly
    • Solutions oriented โ€“ ability to creatively solve problems on the fly
    • Ability to make decisions and drive initiatives to completion

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Total compensation includes salary and stock option grants. The salary range for this position is between $150,000 to $215,000, and individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. PHC offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, wellbeing offerings, 401K, unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and a work from home stipend. PHC covers 100% of medical premiums for employees and 50% of medical premiums for dependents.
