Ontra is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer reporting to our Manager, Machine Learning Platform.
The role is a great opportunity for someone who wants wants to build, design and implement cutting-edge machine learning infrastructure, contribute to the innovation of our AI solutions, all while working with a dynamic and collaborative team.

What you'll do

• Collaborate: Work across teams such as DevOps, Application Development, and Machine learning to effectively deploy models into production
• Build: Build ML infrastructure to develop, fine-tune and serve GenAI & LLM applications
• Containerize: Utilize Kubernetes and AWS services to containerize our applications effectively
• Improve process: Integrate tools and practices to standardize workflows and improve model versioning, performance, and reproducibility.

What you'll bring

• Machine Learning Experience: 5+ years of experience as an ML Platform/ML Ops Engineer, preferably in a high-growth, scaling environment
• ML Toolset: Proficiency using Python to write and optimize code to support ML models as well as tools such as Kubeflow, LangChain and LlamaIndex
• LLM knowledge: Hands-on experience in productionization of OpenAI, LLaMA or other LLM based applications using techniques such as Prompt Engineering, RAG, or Fine Tuning
• Infrastructure building: Experience designing, building, and scaling ML infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS
• Team Player Mentality: A background in working across multiple functions to achieve team-wide and company-wide goals, fostering a culture of innovation

In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Ontra offers includes unit-based compensation (if applicable). Certain roles in our sales and account management departments may also be eligible to receive variable compensation or commission.
