Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for "Senior Mainframe Developer " to join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. If you meet our background requirements and skills and are looking for an opportunity with these skills and expertise, here is the ideal opportunity for you!

Job Location - New York/Remote is allowed

Roles & Responsibilities: Cognizant is looking for a Senior Mainframe Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. • Minimum 8 years of systems analysis/application development experience • Background in development in core Mainframe Systems • Experience with Cobol CICS JCL VSAM DB2 SAS (COMPULSORY ) • Exposure to Job control language program execution • Exposure to COBOL DB2 program coding • Application development using CICS • Exposure to Processing VSAM datasets and Dataset allocation ISPF/PDF • Experience with Ezytrive & REXX (GOOD TO HAVE) • Experience with Job Scheduling Incident management

Must Have Skills • Mainframe • VSAM • JCL • DB2 • COBOL

Good To Have Skills • CICS • SAS

Previous experience in Banking is a must.

Experience with Commercial & Retail Loan processing is good to have.

Ability to drive critical deliverables by engaging the Clients SMEs in direct discussions.

Strong exposure in Production Support Debt Analysis and other ADM best practices

Experience with the delivery management of custom solutions in mainframe area

Experience with Agile Methodologies good to have.

Ability to deliver as a self-contributor also as a part of the team.

Contribute as part of a development & production support team

Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Prior experience in working in tandem with an offshore team.
