Talkdesk seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Senior Management Reporting Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting into the Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations, the Director of Management Reporting is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s internal financial reporting strategy. This role plays a critical part in delivering insights on the company's financial and operational performance, driving accountability, and supporting decision-making at the highest levels. The Director will manage the reporting processes, improve the quality of data, and provide meaningful analyses to senior management. A key part of this role is aligning cross-functional reporting efforts to ensure consistency and relevance of the information provided to internal stakeholders.Â
Responsibilities:

- Management Reporting Oversight: Lead the creation, refinement, and dissemination of financial and operational performance reports for executive leadership, ensuring all key performance indicators (KPIs) are tracked and accurately reported
- Strategic Insight Generation: Translate financial data into actionable insights by identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities. Advise senior leadership on the financial implications of business activities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales, IT, HR) to ensure reporting needs are met and data sources are aligned. Foster a collaborative culture of data-sharing and transparency
- Executive Presentations: Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for board meetings, senior leadership reviews, and other executive forums
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve reporting processes, tools, and methodologies, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of reports. Automate and streamline reporting efforts to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
- Team Development: Build, lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of financial analysts responsible for data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from executives and other senior leaders, delivering custom insights and analysis in a timely manner
- Data Management: Participate in the Data Governance committee (led by IT) to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data used in reporting as well as ensuring consistency across departments and systems
Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a management capacity
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in financial systems, such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, and business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau). Strong knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools
- Analytical Mindset: Advanced analytical skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of data and deliver actionable insights. Familiarity with financial modelling and forecasting techniques
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading teams, managing performance, and fostering professional growth
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience driving process improvement initiatives and implementing reporting frameworks
- Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex business challenges and offer strategic recommendations
- Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work. Limited lifting, and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards, mouse, etc.)
