The Team:

In this role:

You will be reporting to VP, Finance & Corporate Controller, work closely with business partners, and senior management to facilitate our rapid growth. You will also work with them to manage their budgets and forecasts. Additionally, you will have ownership of the day-to-day financial reporting process. You will also facilitate communications across the organization, delivering insightful analyses and reports to internal and external parties, and work closely with our Controller to manage the accounting function with timely and accurate financial reporting.  

Responsibilities:

• Manage sales and use tax compliance in Avalara tax tool
• Reviewing quotes and MSAs as part of the Deal Desk
• Managing subsidiary compliance, accounting, and reporting (India, Canada) and coordinating with local accounting and payroll service provider
• Corporate accounting, monthly close and GL
• Accounting policies (Journal entry, T&E, Procurement process, etc.)
• Accounting memo 
• Audit defense for annual financial statement audit
• Software tool / process automation & implementation 
• Create report in NetSuite for key metrics
• Board deck slides preparation
• NetSuite maintenance and power it to max use

Qualifications: 

• 8+ years of accounting experience and minimum 5 years of operational accounting experience in the tech industry
• Degree in accounting or related field with sufficient accounting experience
• Experience working in a fast paced environment similar to a high tech start-up
• A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges
• Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills
• Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
• Self driven, keen to learn new things, and provide good suggestions upward for process improvement
• Solid skills in accounting ERP, NetSuite is a plus
• Expert in word, excel, and powerpoint
