Senior Manager, Accounting

C3 AI has an opening for a Senior Manager, Accounting located at our offices in Redwood City, CA. This person will support the monthly accounting close process and lead initiatives to make the accounting processes as efficient as possible, while maintaining accurate financial records. This role is also responsible for operationalizing accounting for routine, non-routine, and inter-company transactions in the general ledger. The candidate must be a fast learner, change driver, attentive to detail, and willing to roll up their sleeves when needed.

Responsibilities: 

• Support all aspects of our accounting and reporting process, including performing reviews of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of the monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis and conducting business updates with controllership and executive management.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, and external audits.
• Manage the accounting close process for our international entities, including review of local management accounts and record foreign entity transactions.
• Manage international statutory audits and financial statements, including working directly with international auditors and ensuring timely compliance with local regulations.
• Assist leadership with special projects.
• Partner closely with cross-functional business partners, including FP&A, HR and Operations
• Work on process optimization and automation efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness on a continuous basis using technology solutions and automation.
• Ensure all key internal controls over operations and financial reporting are operating in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulations.
• Participate in other assignments and ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications: 

• 8+ years of experience in accounting and/or audit.
• Big 4 audit firm experience preferred.
• CPA (or equivalent) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.
• Experience with high-growth companies, ideally in the Software SaaS/PaaS industry.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• NetSuite ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
