In this role, the newly appointed Sr Manager Advanced R & D will lead a Fiber Media team, build their capability and empower them to deliver technical breakthroughs and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a fiber media team through recruitment, talent development, and retention of top-tier professionals.
• Forge a strategic vision identifying how the focus technology, with its diversified project portfolio, will strengthen our competitive edge, meet organizational objectives and yield technical advancements by following an executable plan.
• Develop and manage a network of external relationships to explore & complement external technology opportunities with internal development efforts.
• Sustain a high level of technical proficiency within the team, serving as a trusted advisor to business units on key technologies.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of all our laboratories, nurture existing capabilities, coordinate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) tasks, and revise project documentation and milestones, as needed, to ensure on-time deliverables.
• Foster robust engagement between the business units and the team through consistent and transparent communication regarding project priorities and technology development efforts.
• Lead change efforts that produce continuous improvements in our organizations.
• Build relationships up, down and across the global organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in science or engineering or an Advanced degree with an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 7 years of experience in engineering, science or related fields including successful project management.
• Experience managing small teams of Researchers or small cross-functional teams
• Proven experience developing new product and platform technologies.
• Proficiency in project and budget management, ability effectively managing resources and finances.
• Expertise in technology assessment, development, and validation, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with filtration industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Skills in leveraging external capabilities to enhance the organization's capabilities and competitiveness.
• Proven ability to anticipate customer needs by gaining a deep understanding of their business and accurately forecasting market shifts.
• Proficiency in intellectual property management, safeguarding and leveraging valuable assets for strategic advantage.
