SUMMARY

The Senior Manager Application Engineering will lead a global team of application engineers in the flawless execution of a sales strategy to enable achievement of Ansys growth targets and business goals for their respective Business Unit. The role will focus on establishing best practices, building centers of application engineering excellence and building strong teams to strengthen Ansys' brand globally and create awareness in target industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads multiple application engineering teams responsible for delivering value-based messaging, pre- and post-sales support across multiple product families
• Responsible for creation and delivering of technical campaigns in alignment with Ansys' strategic vision, business growth objectives and key investment areas
• Partners with product teams to deliver messaging and competitive positioning around product lines targeted to industry and persona. Influences roadmap with input from strategic customers, and partners
• Responsible for supporting successful delivery of all product launches and releases as well as related sales enablement strategy and collaterals
• Partners with Ansys Marketing on technical campaign execution, lead tracking and product promotion across Digital and Social channels across all product lines, including cross-product and cross-BU messaging
• Recruits, develops, and retains high performing talent
• Builds and develops high-achieving application engineering teams and ensures continuous employee development. Creates a positive team culture that is aligned with the Ansys culture and provides and environment supporting diversity and inclusion
• Evaluate the financial aspects of technical campaigns including support budgets, renewal timelines and ROI analysis
• Owns quarterly reporting and evaluation of achievement on technical campaigns goals, metrics, and business impact

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12 years' experience, MS with 10 years' experience, or PhD with 8 years' experience in application engineering leadership role with a proven history of creating effective technical management programs
• Significant external recognition of technical account management leadership and expertise within the technology industry
• Experience managing and growing a diverse, geographically distributed team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12 years' experience, MS with 10 years' experience, or PhD with 8 years' experience in application engineering leadership role with a proven history of creating effective technical management programs
• Significant external recognition of technical account management leadership and expertise within the technology industry
• Experience managing and growing a diverse, geographically distributed team
