POLITICO is searching for a Senior Manager, Associate Management to join our Professional Subscriptions sales team. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the Account Management Associate team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing and managing individuals in the early stages of their sales careers. Specifically, the Senior Manager will work closely with Associates on priorities centered around prospecting, service, revenue impact through renewal and upsell, sales coaching and development, and holistic professional development.

What You'll Do:

  • Support 6-8 Account Management Associates to ensure they are hitting monthly and quarterly revenue call goals, effectively achieving daily outreach targets, prospecting to generate upsell revenue, providing service and value in client requests, and developing the skills necessary to be successful in sales.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and regular check-ins with each associate on your team. You will coach associates around email scripting, cold calling, Salesforce process, MQL follow-up, optimizing sales enablement technologies (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.), strategic thinking, objection handling, communication, research + prospecting, service, and time management.
  • Provide regular formal and informal feedback to your associates on their performance, professionalism, and demonstration of POLITICO's values.
  • Work with Account Managers to understand each associate's performance strengths and areas of improvement and implement processes to improve performance when necessary.
  • Serve as a liaison across departments including Revenue Operations, Marketing, Sales Enablement to ensure associates have what they need to be successful and hit their goals.
  • Ensure that the front-end of the sales process is accomplished with effective strategic outreach (phone/email/social), successful revenue call scheduling, and service-forward client interactions. Utilize data to make strategic decisions around renewal and upsell pacing for the AMA team.
  • Responsible for the alignment of overall department goals with Pro associate objectives, metrics, and measurements.
  • Work alongside stakeholders from Human Resources and Learning and Development to successfully onboard new hires.
  • Interview and support recruitment of high potential talent to join the associate team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • A. / B.S. required.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a revenue generating role (e.g. Business Development Associate, Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, Account Executive, Account Manager), or experience managing a business development or account management team
  • Proven experience setting and regularly hitting results-driven goals and metrics
  • Ability to balance process-oriented mindset with innovation and critical thinking to drive consistent performance improvement
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to proactively identify performance gaps or issues and develop a plan to overcome performance barriers
  • Proficiency with Salesforce
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and a firm understanding of the DC marketplace
