Job Summary
Comcast Business is looking for a seasoned Senior Manager of Brand Strategy to continue driving brand growth and loyalty for our brand. This Senior Manager will be responsible for driving brand strategy and initiatives that fuel brand awareness, consideration, and leadership and contribute to meaningful ongoing business growth. This role will be responsible for the Comcast Business brand position across all segments (SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise, and Public Sector) as well as with internal team - in partnership with internal communications / HR. The Senior Manager, Brand Strategy will report into Executive Director, Brand Growth & Innovation and will be supported by an on-site contractor as well as a robust team of seasoned agency partners.
In this role, the Senior Manager will be responsible for architecting the multi-year strategic vision for Comcast Business, managing an annual brand plan aligned to the vision, and working with cross-functional team to drive key initiatives that deliver the plan. Senior Manager will provide oversight and collaborate with various cross-functional leaders to oversee key components of annual brand plan and actively monitor brand growth via Brand Health tracking with Research and Insights team.
Senior Manager will also be responsible for all elements of brand identity - including, but not limited to, visual, verbal, product / solution naming, and messaging guidelines. Individual will work with cross-functional team including Product Marketing, Brand Communications, and others to ensure that brand guidelines are clear and adhered to across all touchpoints. A key component of this role will be effective brand enablement for wide-spread internal team as well as agency partners who need to deliver Comcast Business brand in a consistent, cohesive manner. Individual will also drive any co-branding strategy and execution for M&A activity that impact the brand to ensure effective brand portfolio management.
Ideal candidate will have deep experience in brand development and management as well as B2B and/or technology experience. We are seeking a candidate who can effectively work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional manner and influence and inspire teams across the business by putting brand at the center of all we do.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Own all aspects of Comcast Business brand strategy including, but not limited to, long-term strategic vision, annual brand plan, and on-going strategic initiatives and activations
- Leverage deep understanding of macro trends, industry news, competitive insights, and audience needs into all initiatives - champion customer insights and voice into brand actions to drive innovation and relevance
- Lead key strategic and creative projects for Comcast Business brand aimed at defining and activating our brand purpose across our identity, architecture, and all actions
- Develop and own key messaging architecture for Comcast Business across all segments and verticals; work with cross-functional team to enable adherence to brand messaging hierarchy
- Collaborate with other Marketing partners (Segment Leads, Product Marketing, etc.) and .com team to ensure website messaging is compelling, clear and aligned to brand narrative and solution messaging - actively work with .com team to update website as needed
- Manage robust annual brand calendar (Plan of Record / POR) in partnership with cross-functional team and internal Symphony team at NBCU
- Support research initiatives focused on understanding and building Comcast Business brand - including quarterly Brand Health tracking
- Be powerfully visible brand champion and steward within organization - educating and empowering others to build and leverage the Comcast Business brand in meaningful ways
- Work with members of other teams within Marketing as well as Product Management, Sales, HR, Internal Communications, & others to bring business initiatives to life in a way befitting our brand
- Work with partners across the business to assess new and existing partnerships and sponsorships for fit and impact
- Own all aspects of brand visual and verbal identity including product naming and hierarchy
- Manage key agency relationships from a day to day perspective as well as through annual planning and scoping process

- Rigorous budget management skills
- Strong interest in individuals with B2B and/or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in brand management, marketing, communications, journalism or related field
- 7-10+ years of brand development and management, marketing and/or communications experience with experience managing a team
