We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Business Development!ÂAs part of an early growth stage team, this is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone to oversee the continuous build and development of the SDR program at Built In. The Senior Manager of Business Development should be passionate about training future sellers, come with an entrepreneurial spirit, and enjoy building sales pipeline.Â
As a Senior Manager of Business Development, you will lead a team of SDR Managers, Team Leads, and individual sales development reps who are responsible for securing meetings with prospective customers as well as providing support to other teams. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for a passionate Senior Sales Manager with experience overseeing an SDR/BDR function while leading a team of sales managers. We’re looking for someone who gets energized about rolling up their sleeves, training our SDRs, and developing our future talent. This Senior Manager will have the opportunity to build upon our existing process, hire additional reps, and train and develop a dynamic group of future sales leaders.
How You'll Contribute- Lead a team of SDR Managers, Team Leads, and Sales Development Representatives
- Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a regular basis
- Recruit, train and develop a results oriented sales team with a focus on new customer acquisition and revenue growth
- Continually refine and improve sales development process
- Conduct regular reviews to evaluate team strategy, progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with sales operations and marketing to ensure the team is set up to exceed KPI’s
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve metrics
- Drive results by engaging motivating and providing constructive feedback to team members
- Ensure that sales quotas/goals are achieved on assigned accountsÂ
- Develop and implement strategies that support overall Sales/Company priorities and key initiatives
- Assist direct reports with career development planning
- Develop training plans for continuous development of team’s sales skills and product knowledge
- Embody company culture and contribute to fostering an environment that excites and inspires the sales team
- 7+ years of sales development and/or business development experience (preferably in mid-market or enterprise capacity)
- 1-2+ years of experience leading Sales or Business Development Managers
- Experience in crafting outbound messaging campaigns and using creative techniques to exceed monthly pipeline generation targets
- Demonstrated sales development and training skills
- Passion for training and education
- Solid oral and written presentation skills
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com and other sales automation software
