Nayya’s Business Development Team aims to develop a revenue pipeline for the sales team and overall organization – as a Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll be a critical stakeholder focused on: (1) leading a team of BDRs to create qualified opportunities for the sales team, (2) train other members of the BDR team and (3) take on operational and administrative tasks to help the BDR team perform and exceed expectations.

You’ll have the opportunity to be a source of knowledge and best practices amongst the BDRs, helping to train, onboard, and mentor each member of the team. The Senior Business Development Manager will report directly to the VP of Sales – and you'll work closely with the entire revenue organization (Sales & Marketing) to ensure a seamless transition of opportunities. Success in this role is defined as helping Nayya achieve its pipeline and revenue goals that will catapult the organization to the next level. 

What you’ll do:

  • Run the day-to-day activities of a Business Development team and maintain/optimize the inbound qualification and outbound processes
  • Train other members of the BDR Team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities
  • Ensure BDR Team members improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring 1:1s
  • Work closely with the Sales team & leadership to improve opportunity management, qualification processes, ensure smooth hand-off, and review sales opportunities on a regular basis
  • Work in collaboration with Content, Marketing, and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your team’s assigned accounts
  • Provide exceptional customer service to inbound inquiries
  • Create sales development resources including, but not limited to, call scripts and prospecting emails to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of our messaging
  • Measure and report against KPIs, as well as create reports as needed or requested 

What we value (requirements):

  • Experience leading and building a BDR team in a high-growth startup environment
  • Experience working in SFDC, Outreach, LinkedIn Navigator, and ZoomInfo
  • Excellent communication style (outgoing phone presence)
  • Experience in relationship development and opportunity identification
  • Ability to learn/understand and articulate our solution and value propositions
  • Ability to quickly synthesize and put to use new information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Bonus points:

  • Healthcare or Employee Benefits experience (not required)
  • You have worked in B2B, SaaS or healthtech or insurance tech
  • Willingness to try new things and not be afraid to fail

  • Ability to succeed without all the answers

The salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $110,000- $150,000. We use a location factor to adjust this range for candidates that are located outside of geographic region of our New York office. Placement within the salary band is determined based on experience.
