TTI, Inc. is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Business Intelligence at our Corporate office in Northwest Fort Worth, TX.

The Senior Manager, Global Business Intelligence will lead the creation and growth of industry-leading business intelligence capabilities and platforms, to accelerate business insight generation from big-data, in collaboration with the best data engineers, data scientists and business leaders in the industry, resulting in significantly positive, measurable business outcomes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of highly skilled and motivated BI Developers (Power BI) and SQL developers (Microsoft SQL server and other data sources)
  • End-to-end ownership of outcomes through successful execution of:

    • Proactive business intelligence
    • Ad-hoc reporting requests
    • Collaboration with Data Science (DS) & Date Engineering (DE)

      • BI/reporting integrating DS capabilities
      • Anomaly detection in DS outputs
      • Simulation/Scenario modeling
    • Achieve business outcomes:

      • Execute projects within scope, on time and within budget
      • Exceed expectations & build trust with business stakeholders
      • Communicate effectively and sharing progress vs. vision
      • Manage uncertainty when scope, time and/or budget changes
    • Manage Platforms, Standards & Processes:

      • Create a highly scalable, available, and responsive Power BI platform
      • Reduce/eliminate use of excel as a database through low/no-code alternatives
      • Create a data layer representing the entire business, in collaboration with DE
    • Manage Professional Learning & Growth for self and the business intelligence team

      • Maintain a high level of hands-on technical expertise
      • Develop and grow leadership and managerial skills
      • Continually increase technical & business knowledge, and proactively apply knowledge by keeping abreast of changes in technology and by recommending technical solution changes, if appropriate
    • Create and execute an innovation roadmap that turns business intelligence into an effective, competitive differentiator

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree in a computer science/information systems related domain required; Master's degree preferred; and a minimum fifteen years of total professional experience in the BI/analytics domain, of which at least three years of experience is in a leadership role successfully leading and delivering large scale BI projects and effectively managing globally distributed teams.
  • Extensive current hands-on skills with relational databases, schemas, dimensional modeling, and data analysis techniques are required; an equivalent combination of education, skill and experience may be considered.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Advanced proficiency in report writing tools such as SSRS or Power BI Paginated Reports.
  • Proficient in MS SQL querying, specifically SELECT queries and stored procedures.
  • Fluent in dimensional modeling concepts.
  • Experience with NoSQL querying and development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Exhibits the analytical and problem-solving ability necessary to develop effective technical solutions.
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and prioritization ability.
  • Exhibits strong administrative and project management skills.
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail skills
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal/teamwork skills to develop effective relationships with individuals and groups inside and outside the TTI organization.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document procedures.
  • Knowledge of product systems, operations and procedures preferred.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

  • Exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to perceive and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
  • Detect and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; converse in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
