About the role...
The Senior Manager , R&D Business Operations is a highly strategic and facilitative role that requires focus and flexibility, be a trusted advisor for Executives. The role requires a highly inventive individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Business Planning and budgeting for entire R&D on an ongoing basis
- Lead Annual and Quarterly operational planning tying business objectives to operational plan, identify gaps and secure funding.
- Structure complex, ambiguous and potentially charged business issues for RingCentral's executive team.
- Provide necessary leadership on fast-moving, complicated projects and act as the primary point of contact for management.
- Manage large cross-functional teams and influence decision-making within leadership audiences.
- Manage product planning and operations, match resourcing to quarterly roadmap planning and enable framework for project prioritization.
- Establish and report key product and performance indicators for various product domains.
- Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly to problem solve and drive decision-making effectively.
- Identify business, operational, and financial risks and implement mitigation plans
- Work closely with members of product, engineering, recruiting, legal, finance, accounting, human resources (among others) to operationalize recommendations
- Drive a culture of rigorous continuous improvement by identifying positive disruptive change opportunities.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for Operational and Financial performance
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, finance, and strategy & ops roles
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA is a plus
- Demonstrated experience presenting hypotheses, conclusions, and recommendations to senior management
- Executive presence, Effective communication skills at multiple levels of the organization, including management and cross-functional groups
- 3 years of experience leading teams in a high-tech industry, preferably with a minimum of 2 years in people management roles
- Familiarity with a product line operational functions including finance, Product Development & Release (PDR) and organizational management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity

If you are hired in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $93,600 and $105,300 for full-time employees in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
