Senior Manager, Business & Systems Analysis- Next Generation Capabilities
Job Description
The Role
As a member of the Next Generation Capabilities team in the Planning & Advice Platform product area, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team (Squad) of business partners and systems professionals to develop and lead best-in-class digital experiences. The goal of this squad is to help customers improve their financial outlook by providing personalized, impactful financial recommendations considering all aspects of their financial life.
We are looking for a leader who is customer-obsessed and thrives in working collaboratively with teams to deliver outstanding business capabilities and brings a track record of delivering digital capabilities that enrich customers lives and improve their financial outcomes. This role is a hybrid business and systems analysis role that will provide direction across multiple projects or programs and across the platform. These projects or programs are diverse in scope and require sophisticated analysis and facilitation to capture business and systems requirements. This role manages the design, development, and implementation of platform capabilities and/or process solutions for complex business problems. #CSB
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher and 8+ years professional experience as a Systems and/or Business Analyst for software solutions
- FINRA Series 7 license preferred but not required
- Provides thought leadership in recommending strategic options and strategy formation
- Identifies and crafts best-in-class reusable middle tier/platform capabilities and API solutions for Fidelity clients
- Pulls information together across a diverse set of individuals and teams and articulates the full story across multiple streams of work
- Participates in the prioritization of the team's work (in partnership with leadership) to deliver value based on an understanding of customer needs
- Participates and/or leads business capability definition efforts to inform the squad strategy/roadmaps
- Excellent documentation skills showcasing API and platform capabilities
- Comfortable working with math and financial services calculations such as loans, budgeting, and retirement
- Strong business knowledge of financial services, specifically wealth management, and experience leveraging this knowledge in managing or building technology tools and systems
- Ability to think strategically about business goals and roadmap how the unique elements fit together - crafting end-to-end business capability roadmaps to address key customer needs
- Proven knowledge of Agile development methodologies and scrum tools - Jira, AgileCraft experience desirable
- Experience developing and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems
- Ability to collaborate with individuals and teams across multiple functions and disciplines
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and REST API development a plus
- Effective in written and verbal communications and are dedicated to tailoring content to the appropriate audience (business vs. technology, associate vs. management, etc.)

The Planning & Advice Platform team powers the Personal Investing & Workplace Investing Wealth Management offerings through deployment of scalable business capabilities. The team is passionate about owning the evolution of our planning capabilities that enable an extraordinary planning offering.
