Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As the Senior Manager, Client Segmentation, you will act as the branch subject matter expert and should possess superior knowledge of all products and strategies made available to your client segmentation. You will lead, coach, develop, and support a team of 10-15 licensed Financial Advisors in a national branch setting. You will assist in the development of client-focused, centralized FAs who provide clients with an advice and solutions set comprised of (but not limited to) mutual funds, annuities, and fee-based solutions.

What will you do?

  • Active coaching of RBC Advantage FAs to meet results through a consultative sales process, leveraging RBC wealth planning technology/tools.
  • Provide site leadership and be the key point of contact for driving results, through effective relationship and pipeline reviews, formation of team, and wholesaling the value add of the organization to business partners and clients.
  • Conduct calls with Complex Directors and Branch Directors to drive utilization of the centralized business model.
  • Conduct calls with field FAs to discuss opportunities in their current practice that would be ideal for enrollment.
  • Conduct evaluations of the focused advice and solution matrix the centralized FA's are able to solicit.
  • Serve as a strategic thought leader to help frame how this organization can be leveraged, partnered with, and emulated across multiple business channels.
  • Partner with sales supervision and compliance to manage risk to the firm.
  • Write and review internal policy and procedures and ensure organization is compliant.
  • Point-person for all sales audits that impact business line.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 8+ years of industry experience
  • Series 7, 66 (63/65), 24 (9/10) and Insurance Licenses
  • Strong understanding of current regulatory requirements related to the industry
  • Organizational awareness, comfort with interacting with Senior Executives to drive outcomes
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to team with key stakeholders to achieve desired results with the ability to drive and respond to change management

Nice-to-have

  • MBA or Advanced Degree
  • Previous experience managing similar investment services operations
  • Previous P&L responsibility
  • Experience leading initiatives in multiple areas of a financial Institution
