* Please note this is not a remote role. Employee will be require to physically be in the Princeton office twice a week on our hybrid schedule.

The position of Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics, will support the Oncology business franchise in Kyowa Kirin, North America Business by providing business insights and holistic solutions to help steer the strategic directions and improve execution efficiency. This role will report to the Director of Commercial Analytics, Oncology and will be accountable for insights-driven performance reporting such as KPI and QBR dashboards, advanced analytics such as predictive modeling, marketing mix resource allocation, daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly business reports and daily ad-hoc requests from different business stakeholders to address business-critical questions. This individual will partner and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Commercial Operations, IT, and Finance to provide analytics that aligned with strategic imperatives. 

This role reports to Director of Commercial Analytics, Oncology USA

Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Utilize various anonymized patient level data (APLD) claims data sources and bring in innovative modeling skills to identify patients & physicians in the rare disease area.
  • Understand how the data is collected, maintained, and interpreted in and out of systems. Develop and apply data analytics to extract, transform and load the data. Leverage analytic techniques to use data to guide decision-making. Download, host & release data periodically from different systems including FTP sites and fact-based promotional investment strategies that increase the return on promotional investments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with secondary data sources and integrate therapeutic area knowledge into analytic interpretations and recommendations.
  • Identify and recommend key business issues to be addressed by analytics; recommend appropriate techniques and analytical approaches to meet business objectives; integrate all available information specific to the issue.
  • Conduct national and sub-national analysis and integrate findings with multiple stakeholders. Supervise internal team and external analytic suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality project execution.
  • Effectively communicate results of complex analytical models and influence action to improve brand performance.
  • Leverage/build innovative, sophisticated analytic models that address critical issues but also meet key business criteria (e.g. cost, risk, business impact) and key technical criteria (e.g. reliability, validity, and predictability)
  • Ability to work in close partnership with the onshore and/or offshore consultants and a diverse multi-cultural team setting with mutual respect
  • Partner with internal colleagues to elevate the use of analytic modeling methods to further optimize Sales and Marketing execution

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline with strong academic performance in analytic and quantitative coursework (business, economics, marketing, psychology, physical or life sciences, engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, or relevant fields) preferred

Experience:

  • This position requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing data and the use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Access, R, Python, Power BI, and Tableau is preferred

  • Knowledge of various industry data sources such as IQVIA Rx data (xPonent, Plantrak, DDD, and HCOS) and/or Symphony Rx data (Prescriber, Prescriber/Payer, PHAST), Patient APLD Claims data, Patient Longitudinal data
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change the course of action quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic is required.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent follow-through.
  • Has the ability to flex and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Has a passion for personal learning and development to be able to grow with the company.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization.

Physical Demands:

  • Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work

Working Conditions:

  • Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
