We are looking for a seasoned writer and content marketer to write a range of high-quality and high-velocity content, including web copy, whitepapers, fact sheets, case studies, and more to support our awareness / thought leadership and demand generation objectives in the Life Sciences space.  

Truveta was born in the Pacific Northwest, but we have employees who live across the country.  Our team enjoys the flexibility of a hybrid model and working from anywhere.  In person attendance is required for two weeks during the year for Truveta Planning Weeks.

For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time.

The Opportunity

This position will focus on delivering a range of content aligned with Truveta’s business and GTM priorities. The right individual will be able to deliver high quality web content, whitepapers, newsletter copy, infographics, fact sheets, cast studies, and other deliverables, aligned with Truveta brand and positioning frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to rapidly deliver a range of content, including content that is based on highly scientific or technical content, with excellent collaboration skills. We are in our early days with ambitions of building a world-class brand, and a creative and highly effective demand generation engine and this role is critical in shaping that. 

You have a proven track record of building, innovating, and delivering on B2B content-based marketing by creating compelling content across formats and channels; and are quick to learn about your audience and what resonates with them. Ideally you have prior experience in the Life Sciences (Pharma and / or Medical Devices) and understand healthcare. You have worked closely with marketing and communications specialists and understand B2B marketing and sales funnels. You are well-versed in delivering impactful content, showcase a willingness to incorporate feedback from diverse stakeholders, and you’re a fan of iteration, with a drive for results.  You get energized by a dynamic, high growth environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on a continuous pipeline of web content, whitepapers, blog content, case studies and other compelling content that can continuously feed our programs 
  • Identify and prioritize content opportunities, pulling from internal and external sources or initiatives; creatively figure out ways of leveraging existing content across programs or objectives
  • Institute and maintain a content calendar and manage organization of our content assets
  • Create content for and manage content for the monthly newsletter and email nurture program
  • Develop and maintain a meaningful measurement and optimization discipline; test various content strategies and try to quantitatively assess performance and provide insights 
  • Build understanding of our target audiences across Life Sciences and Health Systems to inform the type and topics of content 

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of writing or content development experience at a B2B SaaS/technology company 
  • Experience in the life sciences (biopharma / medical devices) or healthcare domains with good understanding of the audience and domains 
  • Strong writer and communicator, creative thinker and nimble executor and have strong sensibilities around creative and compelling copy 
  • Some experience in an early stage / start up, understands the start-up mentality and can work well in a fast paced environment
  • Experience developing and/or marketing highly technical or scientific content.
  • An understanding of SEO, content categorization and structure
  • Self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity 
  • Great collaborator and ability to adopt new tools and approaches quickly 
  • WordPress, HubSpot and marketing automation platform knowledge is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to corporate headquarters twice a year  

Bonus (Desired but not necessary) 

  • Experience marketing  real-world data products or DaaS / SaaS propositions 
  • Familiarity with the drug discovery and drug development lifecycle (real bonus)

  • The base pay for this position is $115,000 to $174,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
