TigerConnect is looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to lead the financial reporting, monthly close process and implement best practices for a rapid close. This position reports to the department's VP, Controller and will have exposure to other VPs, Directors, and senior executives at the Company. This person will maintain ownership of all aspects of the financial close, financial reporting and consolidation, risk management, compliance and internal controls, treasury, payroll as well as other special projects of the Controllership office. The ideal candidate is someone who will work independently, drive projects from concept to completion, communicate effectively across teams and enjoy collaborating with people with diverse skillsets, all while operating in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the finance business operations by supporting end-to-end processes in Corporate Accounting except for revenue accounting
- Contribute to the design and implementation of our Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting strategy as well as manage a team of individual contributors and managers
- Oversee the Corporate general ledger, including the review of journal entries (e.g., share-based compensation, purchase accounting / M&A, investments, leases, debt/equity/other complex financial instruments, goodwill, deferred taxes and benefit plans, foreign currency translation & foreign entity consolidation), review of account reconciliations, and coordination with other departments (e.g. Revenue Recognition, Payroll, FP&A, Legal), and foreign affiliates, to the extent applicable
- Provide monthly and quarterly income statement and balance sheet analyses for the Corporate general ledger
- Work on process optimization and automation efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness on a continuous basis through various techniques using technology solutions and automation
- Review significant contracts or arrangements, as applicable, and determine appropriate accounting under U.S. GAAP and coordinate with internal teams on accounting
- Work with independent auditors to coordinate the completion of the annual audit
- Communicate Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting strategy and roadmap and has a comprehensive understanding of the future operating model, ensuring alignment across the organization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with partner teams to execute various special projects and transactions and in the preparation of ad hoc financial reporting
- Responsible for the design, system oversight, controls, and policy setting for specific global accounting/ controllership processes
- Continuously work with external and internal audit to ensure an effective compliance and governance process; monitors progress, risks/issues/barriers and creates applicable mitigation strategies
- Proven track record of working with other teams to improve end to end processes
- Ability to white paper technical accounting conclusions for areas such as equity accounting & stock-based compensation, lease accounting, complex debt transactions, foreign exchange/foreign currency translation, and M&A / business combination accounting
What You Bring:
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and directly managing a high performing team
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance, or Business Economics/Business Administration, required
- Active CPA required, preferably with Attestation signoff
- Heavy technical accounting expertise
- 10+ years of experience, in a U.S. based publicly traded company or large private equity backed non-SEC company with significant general ledger and/or financial reporting experience; Ideally with a mix of public accounting and private industry
- Proficiency with Oracle Netsuite, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines and proactively follow up in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to challenge the status quo and leverage technology to build scalable processes, gain efficiencies, streamline accounting operations, and improve outcomes
- Strong compliance and customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical or financial information to a non-technical audience
- A relentless mindset to continuously improve processes and problem solve
- Advanced knowledge of Finance & Accounting, including U.S. GAAP reporting requirements and well as Corporate Accounting shared services within the context of the broader business enterprise
- Knowledge of SalesForce, Carta, Workday, OSV and other best in class financial reporting systems is a plus
How We Pay:
- We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to work experience, interview performance, internal equity, geography, and expected level of responsibilities
- We are targeting a base salary from $89,500 - $159,500
- You will also be able to participate in our annual corporate bonus program
