The Global ReadinessTeam is responsible for ensuring Marqeta is ready and able to support programs for our Customers, Partners, and Products. The Readiness team plays a vital role in assisting our Customers in delivering their vision to market. The key to this role will be understanding the details of what our Customers want and balancing it against what is supportable in the payment and regulatory landscape. You’ll collaborate closely with Marqeta teams, including, but not limited to, Bank and Network Partnerships, Business Development, Customer Success, RevOps, Product, Compliance, Legal, Delivery, and Sales Engineering.
The ideal candidate can facilitate the review of opportunities from initial engagement with Revenue, through Operations, and on into live transactions, ensuring supportability in all areas of a program. We seek someone with an eye for detail that finds excitement in accuracy and unlocking the way to a yes. This candidate will be able to partner cross-functionally to gain alignment and help Marqeta scale efficiently.
What You'll DoThis role is all about guiding a Marqeta customer’s solution through the proper internal stakeholders to accurately capture the program's scope.
Go-To-Market Enablement:
- Support the Revenue teams in fully capturing customer requirements within MQ’s CRM, Salesforce.Â
- Participate in internal meetings and ticketing processes to ensure deals are progressing appropriately.Â
- Identify themes, trends, and reporting opportunities to improve the vetting process continuously and help see the big picture. Coordinate with the Program Infrastructure team to ensure automation, scale and knowledge management in support of Revenue and our customer.Â
- Keep all internal parties informed and aware of where a customer is in their vetting process.Â
- Own the vetting process holistically, owning the wins and solutioning the weaknesses in the process to ensure it ultimately serves the business.Â
Risk and Compliance &Â Operations:
- Collaborate with the bank and network partnerships teams at Marqeta to identify business needs and support required.
- Collaborate with the delivery team to constantly modify and upgrade the process to ensure all project needs are supported upstream in the information gathering process.Â
- Track and report pipeline needs to the partnership teams.Â
- Identify conditions for launch to help streamline onboarding
- Ensure a feedback loop from deal review to bank submission
We are looking for a team player who can hit the ground running, with most (if not all) of the following attributes:
- 5+ years of experience in payments (Product, Strategy, Customer Delivery, Partnerships, Operations, Sales Enablement, etc.)
- 3+ years of managing a team of at least two people.Â
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience planning and delivering customer-focused documentation.
- Experience with Salesforce and JIRA is a plus.
- Experience in a role coordinating with Business Development is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive timelines.
- Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written)
- Someone willing to roll up their sleeves to do what is needed to delight our customers
- A great sense of humor
