Senior Manager, Data Analysis and Reporting - Cox Business
Job Description
The Sr Manager of Data Analysis and Reporting is responsible for providing information, insights, and analyses regarding the performance of Cox Business Sale Channels, including standard reporting and monitoring of the health of the business, ad-hoc analyses, and proactive identification of actionable optimization opportunities. This position interacts with a variety of teams to understand strategies and provide information in support of business decisions. The insights and reporting provided by this individual would be used to make informed prioritization and data-driven decisions regarding the development of new business opportunities. The Data Analysis Sr Manager is expected to perform these duties with minimal daily oversight.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages a team of professional employees and/or subordinate managers to achieve long term Cox Business goals.
- Partner with and support cross-functional teams within the organization to make data-driven business decisions aimed at growth/business optimization
- Act as the analytics lead for Cox Business Sales and review results with various levels of internal and external audiences, including senior leadership, in a concise and storytelling manner
- Monitor the health of Cox Business channel performance, proactively work with stakeholders to establish requirements for recurring and ad-hoc analytics support, including reporting, analysis, actionable insights, and recommendations to drive growth. Set proper delivery expectations according to business priorities with manager's support.
- Primary owner of advanced standard reports, providing key insights on performance through automated visualization techniques while driving improvements for efficiency. This includes full life-cycle visibility from top of funnel, through install, to final churn metrics.
- Validate the data in our reporting to ensure cross-system data is accurate and aligned to current business definition.
- Must be able to learn and use digital analytics technology (i.e., Salesforce.com, Tableau, Google Analytics, SQL-based databases)
- Identifies and recommends ways to improve Data Analysis's tools, technologies, and methods.
- Work with direct line of leadership to define priorities, must be able to deliver against business goals working both independently and collaboratively across functional teams.
- Apply advanced analytics methodologies to our business data, and provide insights not only based on historical trends, but also future forecast to inform optimization strategies.
- Promotes positive work environment. Demonstrates enterprise wide thinking by collaborating across regions on special projects and develops, builds, and manages relationships with Center and regional peers.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field.
- The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field
- 3+ years' experience in management or leadership role
Preferred
- Experience in an analytics/statistics
- Online experience with web / digital analysis and related software required (e.g. Salesforce.com, Google Analytic)
- Experience and deep understanding of Salesforce.com
- Advanced excel skills required, including formula, graphs, and visualization development
- Experience with business intelligence systems (e.g. Microstrategy, Platfora, Tableau or Amplitude)
- Must have experience synthesizing large volumes of data and complex questions into clear analyses and actionable findings.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Working knowledge of statistical testing and experience with experimental design is preferred.
