WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The role will focus on leading a junior team in partnership with supervising Analytics VP to drive data collection, reporting and experimentation practices of the client to drive incremental projects and initiatives through thought leadership. 

  • Lead on optimizing programs through measurement and analysis to support client objectives, focusing on analytics implementation, customization, and automation of data collection processes. Develop cohesive measurement strategies to align data collection to client priorities. Recommend processes to integrate platforms for free flow data between systems using APIs.
  • Have solid analytics implementation experience across life cycle and digital platforms (including web, responsive and native apps) using Adobe/Google Analytics for big retail clients with complex ecosystems (multiple sites/apps, 100s of custom tags, multiple implementation techniques for main site/syndicate sites etc.)
  • Must be hands-on and work as part of technical analytics team for data framework implementations to gather data from assigned sources (e.g.; Adobe/Google Analytics, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Canvs, Twitter Analytics, Facebook Insight)
  • Ability to write custom scripting, JavaScript, jQuery or other coding languages in web environments and tag management tools to accommodate custom tracking requirements. Develop and perform code modifications, testing and deployment where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain Adobe/Google Analytics JavaScript tags and plugins. Ability to troubleshoot scripting issues on the digital platforms using browser’s console and other tools is a must
  • Thorough knowledge of Analytics Workspace, reporting and admin console in Adobe Analytics. Must be comfortable with advanced segmentation capabilities within Adobe/Google Analytics.
  • Execute social listening research and measurement assignments with minimal supervision, overseeing and guiding junior analysts
  • Think strategically and be insightful with the ability to tell a story that converts data into actionable insights. Tabulate and analyze data, pulling out crisp insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor and evaluate digital and social media results on a daily/monthly/annual basis in coordination with client and account team goals, as well as benchmarks. Manage social media coverage coding and analysis.
  • Review program and brand objectives and strategies to help set benchmarks and KPIs, operating within best-practice measurement frameworks
  • Understand client background and needs, including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors in the marketplace
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently toward successful completion, including ongoing core workstreams and ad-hoc, quick-turn needs
  • Communicate to account team and end clients on project developments, timelines, and results; work in partnership with Analytics and account leadership to scope and design approach, share regular updates on progress, manage report creation and support on presentation; guide junior analysts to complete work in timely manner to quality expectations.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in and understanding of social media metrics and trends
  • Be change-agent within our agency, helping to propose new, innovative approaches to analytics and measurement that push our clients to think differently 

 

What you have:

  • 5+ years of experience working in analytics, including experience configuring APIs and implementing integrated digital analytics solutions; agency experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology (Martech) landscape, experience leveraging APIs for reporting automation. Foundational Knowledge of Google Big Query, Node.js, CSS, Python, Domo, machine learning concepts.
  • Experience using Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and similar web analytics tools as well as Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Quid, Netbase, Brandwatch and similar analytics tools; must be comfortable and capable of quickly ramping up on new tools and applications
  • Experience configuring / setting up BI dashboards (Tableau / Looker / Power BI)
  • Comfort interpreting a variety of different data sources from qualitative research to primary survey data to secondary data sources, working with and creating databases and dashboards utilizing all relevant data to create a cohesive story and inform decisions.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proven understanding of statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced industries and environments, demonstrated by time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to pivot and adapt to new and emerging client and agency situations
  • Highly motivated, collaborative team player with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills:
    • Good at developing relationships and building trust across diverse teams
    • Ability to think on your feet and participate in brainstorms and worksessions
    • Ability to manage up and communicate effectively with direct manager (Analytics VP), senior account management, and clients to set expectations, share status updates, and flag potential issues
    • Ability to manage junior team members to remain engaged and motivated in challenging environment, inspire confidence and assist in boosting team morale and productivity, and ensure consistent work product according to quality and timing expectations
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

Salary range: $70,000 - $130,000

Golin has included the base salary or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; market considerations; budgetary considerations; as well as a candidate’s background, relevant experience, and qualifications.
