Senior Manager Data Product Manager

What is this position about?   

We are looking for a data professional with a combination of business acumen and technical insight to maximize the value of our clients’ data assets. You will understand the business problem, align stakeholders on your vision, develop a technical strategy, and oversee the implementation of critical data products that drive our clients’ organization.

What will I be doing? 

• Develops and maintains a vision and plan for data assets and oversees the execution of that plan to maximize the value of the data to the organization.
• Works closely with the development teams to ensure roadmap execution is on track, helps with resolving impediments and highlights key milestones/challenges.
• Builds and evolves comprehensive status reports that cater to various key stakeholders and automates the process on-the-go.
• Knows how to identify key client initiatives, refine and manage stakeholders as it relates to the larger project.
• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Ability to conduct an enterprise analysis of tools and processes while building relationships with various levels of a client organization to help develop and drive a clear vision.
• Understands business strategy as it relates to technologies used within client engagements.
• Can conduct market analyses for tools and functionality available in the marketplace.
• Understanding product releases as it relates to requirements and deadlines
• Designs and defines new technical programs and requirements
• Improves systems and processes by studying current practices; designing modifications, recommending controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Backround in Data analysis, Data Science, or Data Engineering.
• Experience of working on agile implementation with expertise in user- stories/acceptance criteria articulation in JIRA.
• Strong written documentation skills.
• Strong verbal and client facing communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the data industry as a whole, including tools, best practices, and functionality.
• Experience with 2 or more of the following technologies:
  • ETL processes, SQL, Python.
  • Experience with (cloud and on prem) Database Designs & Administration. 
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and/or Databricks is nice to have. 
• Quick learner with good grasp on reporting needs using tools such as Excel/Power BI/ Tableau as needed.

What about languages?  

• Excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication is a must!  

How much experience must I have?  

We're looking for someone with 10+ years of experience in Data Product Management, with at least 4 years of hands on experience with data tools.
