What You’ll Do
It is at an exciting point in our DEI journey at Samsung. As our Senior Manager of DEI, you’ll be a key thought leader and champion for fostering our ability to attract, retain and inspire an employee population that mirrors the communities where we work. We are looking for a creative and critical thinker with DEI experience to provide strategic support to our business lines.Â
You will design programs and develop Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategies. As the DEI senior manager for the US, this multi-faceted role will partner internally across various functions of the organization to develop, manage, and implement measurable, high-impact projects and initiatives from the ground up, focused on DEI.
Location: This is a Hybrid role, working onsite at our San Jose headquarters at least 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

Reports to: Head of People Team
DEI Leadership
- Craft a vision, strategy, and short & long-term plan for overall DEI in partnership with key stakeholders
- Influence top leaders and garner their support and buy-in
- Create an implementation strategy for DEI efforts
- Advise on people processes and policies. Consult on opportunities related to hiring, performance management, promotion, other people processes and DEI best practices
- Partner with the human resources centers of expertise (i.e, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, etc.) on complementary initiatives that positively impact the employee experience, build the business and strengthen the bench of talent
- Manage relationships with external DEI partners (Stanford, WLI, etc.) and determine how to best utilize their resources within Samsung
- Stay informed about local and national DEI-related laws, policies, and social developments that may impact our programs or employees
- Identify barriers and work with cross-functional teams to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment for employee growth and retention
- Speak publically about the topic and represent Samsung at industry events Â
- Along with L&D team, source or create curriculum for ongoing DEI education and learning
- Partner with ERGs to create and market programming for nationally and globally recognized months of celebration
- Source relevant speakers to spotlight diversity, equity and inclusion related topics and spearhead events
- Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to work towards more diverse and inclusive teams
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
- Operationalize our strategic framework for ERG’s to ensure positive business impactÂ
- Build relationships with established ERG’s and provide guidance and input when needed
- Leverage data to determine priorities for formation of additional ERGs
Metrics of Success
- Monitor strategies to evaluate impact and potential ROI of all programs and initiatives; develop reports on program effectiveness and make recommendations for program enhancement and improvement.
- Provide leadership on diversity analytics, including benchmarking, tracking metrics, analyzing and generating diversity reporting
- Present and discuss data insights with an executive audience
- Use both quantitative and qualitative data to inform our DEI efforts
Communications
- Build brand awareness around our DEI efforts internally to create understanding, excitement, and support for the work
- Partner with Brand manager to ensure our external facing employer and community brand is strong and steeped in our commitment to DEI
- Create communications and materials that resonate with business leaders to help them appreciate why diversity, equity, and inclusion matter
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years experience with a focus on Diversity, Human Resource Management or Organizational Development preferred.Â
- Demonstrated track record of delivering impactful DEI programs - strong program management skills.
- Ability to drive impact through influence (as opposed to direct line reporting) by building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Commitment to ongoing personal growth and development in the DEI space (e.g., coursework, certification, active participation in the DEI community, benchmarking and best practice sharing).
- Experience managing and implementing organization-wide projects.
- Experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- Innovative problem solver able to quickly assess a situation and provide multiple solutions.
- Comfortable working both tactically and strategically to get business needs met.
- Able to develop and articulate the value proposition of a new process or program to employees at senior and execute levels.
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Workday experience a plus.

Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training.
