Senior Manager Design Systems, User Experience

You will manage and grow the design system that will allow our P&E organization to quickly deliver best-in-class experiences and accelerate our time to market in all we do. You will work with engineers and design leadership to develop guidelines, maintain Figma and Storybook libraries, and train the entire UX and Engineering team on how to use these tools in their work. You will be responsible for hiring a design system team to help scale our enablement design vertical, and create a culture of sharing and high visibility. You have been there, done that, and can walk the walk!  

• Create a open, highly collaborative culture within your team
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and improve the design system and the processes to iterate and contribute.
• Closely collaborate with engineering, product, and design to prioritize implementation and define roadmaps
• Advocate for your team and its resources
• Create a mission for the design system team and construct how that is carried out
• Organize and lead regular planning meetings with cross functional teams

 Qualifications/ Skills - What You Will Need

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a visual, UX, or system designer
• Managed teams for 3+ years
• Led and mentored designers to tackle large scale problems or systems
• Master in Figma
• Proficient in Front End Development, knowledge of building components in React
• Have a beautiful portfolio of work showing examples integrated design systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of growing and scaling a design system at a mid-large size company
