Senior Manager, Digital Design & Front End Development
Job Description
The Senior Manager, Digital Design and Front-End development will lead user experience strategy, design, and development for Appian.com. This role is expected to lead the design vision, strategies, and execution of Appian.com.Â
We are seeking to hire an individual with experience in all aspects of user experience from setting the vision, to creating user flow and journey maps, to designing high-end prototypes, as well as experience directing and supporting web production. Reporting to the Sr Director, Digital Activation, this individual will need to efficiently execute on business priorities and designs in a fast paced environment with competing priorities, while also adding valuable front-end perspective to the implementation of UX and UI designs.
Responsibilities:
Build a best-in-class User Experience on Appian.comÂ
Lead comprehensive user experience and design strategy for Appian.com.Â
Provide front-end development for digital demand programs including website pages, conversion-focused landing pages, digital advertising units, and site personalization and optimization efforts
Make UI/UX ideas into prototypes, establish outstanding interactions from designs, construct reusable content modules and ensure code maintainability.Â
Translate UI/UX design mock-ups to actual code bridging the gap between design and technical implementation.Â
Creation of user flows, annotated wireframes, and clickable prototypes.Â
Develop start-to-finish responsive web assets for complex interactive HTML layouts with new and established CSS principles and attributesÂ
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI and UX designs
Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholdersÂ
Qualifications:
8+ years of front-end development experience, including marketing websites, landing pages, and content management system (CMS) integrationÂ
Experience as a team lead or manager of a web team
Experience with Adobe Experience ManagerÂ
Experience creating A/B test and personalization activities.
Excellent proficiency with modern web markup, including HTML and CSSÂ
Good understanding of optimization best practices, SEO principles, and adherenceÂ
 Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud image editing tools; ability crop, resize, slice, manipulate and optimize vector and bitmap images for the webÂ
 Familiarity with best practices of web design, including cross-browser issues with ability to troubleshoot and resolve bugs quicklyÂ
Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, rapidly changing environmentÂ
Willingness to learn and master new technologies and toolsÂ
