Job Summary

Senior Manager, Digital Education is responsible for the strategic planning and overseeing the execution of Digital Education for all brands. The Senior Manager will support the strategic vision for Digital Education while researching and suggesting new processes and digital innovations. The Senior Manager will partner closely with Brands and Channel Partners on all facets of the Education curriculum. Cross functional collaboration, communication, and a data first mindset will be critical to success in this role. Directly manages 2 Assistant Managers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and implement Digital Education with a Data First mindset.
  • Optimize Digital events for existing brands; target & identify opportunities for new brands. Oversee Digital events from start to finish, including Zoom production of the event and other platforms where applicable.
  • Remain at the forefront of Digital Innovation to streamline ways of working and the customer experience, in partnership with the Manager, Education Technology.
  • Perform market analysis to fill in gaps, target underpenetrated customer segments and ensure that sufficient Education is provided in coordination with Regional Education team, Shows & Events team, Brand Education and Sales/Promotional calendar.
  • Liase and lead communication with brands and In Store Education team to flawlessly strategize and execute In Studio Streaming events.
  • Collaborate & Strategize with Brands, Educators, and internal departments (marketing, ecommerce, Social Media, SalonCentric Learning & Development) to drive growth for digital and In Studio Streaming class attendance.
  • Create and maintain budgets for all events; ensure classes break-even and collaborate with Brand if break-even is at risk to align on best outcome for customer. Oversee process for all markets to ensure that consolidated P&L balances on a regular basis.
  • Partner with Continuing Education team to ensure adherence to all state Continuing Education guidelines.
  • Consolidate & Maintain accurate accounting of expenses, updating monthly financial statements market reports for the Brand.
  • Conduct Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly status meetings with Regional Education Senior Managers and Channel Partners to maintain seamless Education processes.
  • Attend occasional trade shows as needed.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by Education Leadership.
  • Responsible for the growth & development of Assistant Managers, who work directly with brands, educators, customers, sales team, marketing etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5-7 years of event planning, education, and/or professional beauty industry experience or related field, including management/supervisory experience.
  • Highly proficient in Zoom and Zoom production, or other digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with SAP, SalesForce and Survey Monkey.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including both speaking/presenting and listening.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate a team.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint (required) and SalesForce and SAP (highly preferred)
  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a very fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and sound judgment in dealing with senior managers; effectively builds relationships and resources at all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail; ability to produce highly accurate documents and work products in a demanding environment; takes pride in their work.
  • Highly proactive; takes initiative to begin and complete projects; masterful at follow-up and tracking work projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Solid financial abilities, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Ability to sit and use normal office equipment (phone, computer etc.) more than 90% of the day.
  • Attend occasional trade shows and work weekends as necessary based on business needs.
  • Be available for producing classes on select Sunday's.
