About the Role

The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing manages SEM, SEO, and Paid Social channels taking an integrated management approach to overseeing these performance channels designed to maximize traffic at profitable spend levels.

Reporting into the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, the senior manager of digital marketing works with the Analytics and Finance teams to develop, forecast and optimize digital marketing strategies for Outdoorsy’s performance channels. Collaborate with the Senior Director of Growth Marketing to define the overarching digital marketing strategy, ensuring it complements and supports Outdoorsy's broader growth and brand objectives. Explore and test new digital channels and tactics that can drive incremental growth for Outdoorsy, ensuring a diversified marketing mix. Oversee relationships with external agencies, platforms, and tech partners, ensuring they deliver maximum value and align with Outdoorsy's brand values and performance standards. Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring Outdoorsy remains at the forefront of digital marketing innovation.

The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing is responsible for diving into analytics to find opportunities for other members of the marketing team to help them better understand their audience.

Your work at Outdoorsy

  • Use your experience in the travel industry to develop overall Partnership Marketing strategy and own responsibility for hitting growth and efficiency KPIs as well as reporting on key results
  • Repeat/Retention rates influence in collaboration with Product as an outcome
  • Optimize spend based on Net Loaded ROAS and ROI across the full spectrum of marketing channels - Paid Search (must): Google & Microsoft Ads, SEO, Paid Social: Facebook/Instagram, TikTok), Apple Search Ads
  • Manage the full suite of tools you will use for providing actionable insights and analytics including but not limited to Tableau, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Segment, Mixpanel
  • Report on audience insights to the rest of the product marketing team using data from Google Analytics and Tableau


What you will bring to the table

  • You like working in a fast paced startup
  • Experience in managing over $10mm in annual spend across multiple marketing channels
  • You thrive on attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities
  • 4 years or more of experience in SEM
  • 2 years or more of experience in Paid Social or Display
  • Experience in SEO preferred
  • Experience in the travel industry is a plus
  • You are passionate about the outdoors and love telling stories through a visual medium

Pay range-$90,000-127,650

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with potentially applicable laws. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and bonus dependent upon position.
