As a Senior Manager of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) supporting our Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion organization in Fort Worth, Texas, you will assist in leading the global D&I strategy execution and measurement activities. Working in concert with senior leaders, and in alignment and support of the business goals and objectives, the Senior Manager, Diversity & Inclusion will direct, oversee and monitor the company's workforce and workplace strategic approach around D&I to deliver relevant and competitive business impacts. You will also be responsible for partnering with the Culture, Capability and Talent Team and business stakeholders to create an environment of inclusion and equitable practices. The role reports to the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer and has accountability for driving the global D&I strategy across multiple functions in the U.S. and the Asia-Pacific region. A typical day will include:
  • Design and develop diversity and inclusion workforce management programs and strategies which may include work and family policies and programs.
  • Develop and/or modify diversity plans that support the organization's business objectives; develop and implement programs consistent with the goals and objectives of the enterprise diversity & inclusion strategy and roadmap
  • Conduct human resources reviews to reveal any barriers to inclusion or valuing and managing diversity inherent in the system. Provide business leaders with consultation to address any barriers.
  • Design and implement training, educational materials, programs and resources for various stakeholders and audiences.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the CDO, HR Business Partners and key Business Stakeholders to define functional D&I action plans that will advance Alcon's global D&I strategy.
  • Develop and execute D&I solutions and plans that cultivate an open and inclusive environment.
  • Oversee Alcon's Employee Resource Groups (ERG) program and provide guidance and governance to support ERG leadership and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Assess D&I dashboards, and partner with HR Business Partners and Data Analytics team to perform more advanced D&I analyses as part of the functional D&I action planning process. Analyze external research and benchmarking (data, insights, and industry trend) to provide the global D&I team with insights to drive organizational change.
  • Effectively manage partnerships with consultants, HR Business Partners, Employee Relations/Compliance, Communications, CC&T, Total Rewards and other HR COEs to deliver Alcon's global D&I strategy. Collaborate closely with Alcon's Global Talent Acquisition and CC&T teams to implement D&I practices into every phase of the talent life cycle.
  • Drive development and execution of D&I communications on all channels in partnership with communications / branding teams.
  • Manage India-based D&I manager responsible for serving as the D&I SME in the Asia- Pacific region.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • 7 Years of relevant experience
  • 5 Years of leadership experience
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English


Preferred Experience:
  • Successful execution of D&I strategies in a large and complex organization
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities, workflow and deadlines concurrently.
  • 7+ years of experience within a D&I and/or HR function in large, global organizations
  • 5+ years organizational & leadership experience with at least 3 years' experience designing, implementing, managing and measuring D&I strategies with a global organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with leadership and staff at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills for communicating and resolving conflict.
  • Ability to understand implications of, and apply, federal, state and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to human resources and affirmative action in the U.S.
  • Ability to understand different cultures and local laws pertaining to diversity & inclusion in other countries.
