Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Manager to join our team and lead an organization of talented engineers building the core foundation for the Connected Enterprise, while helping us continue to build a world-class engineering organization.

You will be responsible for leading teams that work at the lower levels of the software stack, including our platform and IO application teams. These teams are working on our next generation controller and IO families, which will continue Rockwell Automation's innovative solutions to our customers manufacturing challenges. You'll do this by bringing your own passion for both people development and technical leadership.

You will be leading an organization of 60+ people with six existing first line people leaders. This position can be onsite or hybrid work from our Mayfield Heights campus.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical and people leadership experience, including leading managers and individual contributors
• 12+ years of software development experience
• Experience releasing large, complex products to the market
• Excellent track record of developing early career talent into effective technical and people leaders
• Strong communication and presentation stills needed, including presentations to C-Suite leaders
• Experience in leading / developing real-time systems
• Experience in C/C++
• Experience in using 3rd party products / tools to decrease time to market for new products
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science / Computer Engineering
