The Employee Communications, Experience and Culture team owns a wide scope of responsibilities, as the name suggests. On our team, no two days are the same. We’re communication strategist, change management experts, creative problem-solvers, culture gurus, engagement drivers, employee experience advocates, DEI ambassadors— and more. We help drive connection, alignment, and purpose among our global workforce. Together, we deliver compelling and engaging internal communications using a blend of strategy, messaging, and artistry. 

More about the opportunity

As Pure’s Senior Employee Communications Manager, you will own the communication and change management strategy for all programs, campaigns and initiatives in support of our goal to “Become a Talent Magnet.” This requires strategic thinking, an analytical and creative mindset, ability to navigate complexity and strong leadership skills. Reporting to the senior director of Employee Communication, Experience and Culture, this role will play a critical part in helping to evolve and up level our global approach to employee and manager communication. 

  • Communications strategy, planning and execution: Design and execute communication strategies that inform and inspire our internal audiences at Pure. Help simplify complexity, drive adoption of key people programs, and help our employee experience and culture scale as our business grows.
  • Strategic counsel:  Advise executive leaders and program teams on global HR efforts. Shape the communication approach, tone, and messaging ensuring that we are reaching our internal stakeholders in a clear, concise, transparent, and credible way. 
  • Change management communications: Bring strong change management experience to the table ensuring communication strategies are designed to help our employees make it quickly and successfully through the change curve.  
  • Operational Excellence:  Proactively look to own areas of improvement for the both how the team executes and what we deliver. Use data, employee feedback and analytics to approach every day is an opportunity to experiment, learn and improve. 

Critical skills and experiences 

  • Proven experience working with executives to build and own the execution of global, employee communication strategies.
  • Excellent writing skills — ability to be concise, tell stories and write on behalf of executives.  
  • Creativity and out-of-the box thinker comfortable trying new, innovative methods to engage our internal audiences.
  • Experience using a variety of employee communications channels including videos and podcasts.
  • Ability to work across organizations, build trust and relationships, and willingness to be a team player and pitch in to help others. 
  • Strong leadership and project management skills including identifying work streams, allocating resources, managing deliverables, and keeping teams updates on progress. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, pivot as business needs evolve and navigate ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of leading trends to deliver practical and insightful communication recommendations and thought leadership.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability draw insights from communication results, people analytics and employee surveys. 

Experience…

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or similar 
  • 8+ years in employee communications experience (experience at a communication agency or a global enterprise a plus)
