Responsibilities:
- The candidate will manage multiple functional teams working on automated / semi-automated assembly equipment, drive strategy for systems and adoption of industry standards across teams
- Drive creation of aligned capital equipment strategy across internal and external manufacturing sites
- Work cross functionally with R&D, Manufacturing and CMO's to develop solutions for production, propose proof of concept/prototyping solutions for new products
- Actively manage suppliers and vendors supporting delivery of- Off the shelf components, tools, automation systems
- Drive staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and conducting performance reviews, coaching and counseling employees, recognizing performance issues and driving improvement, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and standards across teams
- Prepare budgets and resourcing plans for multiple functional teams working on complex automation projects for internal manufacturing and at CMO's
- Responsible for productive cross-site and cross-functional relationship between manufacturing sites and CMO's
- Develop / maintain project timelines and provide update reports to leadership teams on a frequent basis
Requirements:
- B.S/M.S/PhD in Engineering or related field
- 12+ years of experience in building and delivering production solutions with 5-8 years of leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and accomplish results through peers and team members
- Self-motivated with a move-fast mindset able to work independently in a high-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines without constant supervision
- Excellent communicator and presenter of concepts and ideas to partners at all levels of the organization
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- General knowledge and understanding of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 820 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
- Proven track record to manage concurrent projects, maintain timelines, and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals while working across departments
- Experience in high-volume production in a high-tech consumables industry is desirable
