What you will do

• The Senior Manager, Engineering coordinates and oversees the activities of the service units (Engineering, EHS, Facilities, Machine Shop, Drafting, Calibration and Metrology,), ensuring they meet applicable regulatory requirements and internal business requirements, and assuring they achieve the set goals of efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
• Liaison with other Business and Functional Managers throughout the organization, to ensure that the service units' activities are being properly planned, implemented, executed and maintained, meeting their expectations.
• Accountable for correct allocation of cost services related expenses in the appropriate operational accounts and align CAPEX activities with Infrastructure roadmap.
• Fully comply with all quality standards and requirements related to Medical Devices.
• Stop further processing of a product, process or system in the event of encountering nonconformities or deviations.
• Identify any product or compliance risk and escalate as required.
• Assist in SOP development, review and implementation.
• Identifying relevant technical training needs and delivering training as required.
• Participate and assist in the Internal Audit and during external quality system and regulatory inspections.
• Provide quality system inputs to new product development, manufacturing deviations, and process changes as applicable.
• Involved in developing, modifying, and executing Engineering guidelines and procedures.
• If required, review and approve test reports, generated by Engineering units' competent personnel, showing product or process conform to pre-established requirements.
• Evaluate and ensure Engineering services are profitable (cost avoidance) and provide financial benefits to the organization.
• Develop and deploy the technology roadmap to sustain the continuous improvement of the related technical service units.

What you need

• Fully bilingual (Spanish, English)
• Excellent interpersonal skills (relationships, influence, negotiation, teamwork)
• Demonstrated effective managerial skills
• 15+ years of overall experience in a regulated industry - Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in one or more technical fields related with the Service Units or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in supervisory position in an Engineering Management function or equivalent position.
• B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related discipline
• Master degree is a plus
