The Team:
We are a small but passionate team of 100+ based in the Bay Area. Aisera’s seasoned founding team has led companies through several prior successful startups and acquisitions. In this role:
You will work closely with business partners, and senior management to facilitate our rapid growth. You will also work with them to manage their budgets and forecasts. Additionally, you will have ownership of the day-to-day financial reporting process. You will also facilitate communications across the organization, delivering insightful analyses and reports to internal and external parties, and work closely with our Controller to manage the accounting function with timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- You will own and drive the month-end and quarter-end financial reporting process, including consolidation
- You will be responsible for U.S. payroll accounting, coordination with employee compensation and benefit related vendor, and associated process automation
- You will perform the budget to actual analysis
- You will manage the chart of account and check the accuracy of journal entries
- You will prepare and support the period-end reporting package, including presentation slides
- You will manage the international subsidiary accounting and coordinate with local accounting firm on compliance
- You will assist in the automation of sales use tax
- You will participate in or drive ad-hoc projects for process automation and compliance
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of accounting experience and minimum 7 years of operational accounting experience in the tech industry
- Degree in accounting or related field with sufficient accounting experience
- Experience working in a fast paced environment similar to a high tech start-up
- A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges
- Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills
- Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
- Self driven, keen to learn new things, and provide good suggestions upward for process improvement
- Solid skills in accounting ERP, NetSuite is a plus
- Expert in word, excel, and powerpoint
